(By: Shahd Amir Gamaleldin) Eyes open wide, jaw drops and drooling … this is what I go through as I admire the streets of Dubai. Many of you would think that it is about the tall towers and magnificent view of hotels, but no, I am writing about the amazing cars that pass by every second of each day. Dubai has mesmerized people with its progression but so few know that they have stepped it up by actually gold plating a car and more.

Cars are an important accessory for both men and women, especially those from the working class. Basically, they use it as just a means of transport, so they don not get attracted to how it looks; rather they look for its oil consumption, battery and safety. The most sold car in the Dubai is Toyota Land Cruiser, and that is for its outstanding features like, full security system and reasonable price.

Moreover, not everyone can afford to buy brand new cars; instead they would rather buy second hand cars. Actually there are around 40 per cent of people in Dubai who use second hand cars. These cars are affordable and could also be the fancy cars like, BMW, Porsche and Chevrolet. And not because it is old you think it is useless, you got to know that “Old is Gold”.

Apart from those classic cars, we have my favorite type of cars, the sports cars, fast and fancy looking. These cars are actually used by the policemen in Dubai as surveillance cars to prevent the criminal from fleeing away. They have used, Porsche, Ferrari, Camaro, Dodge Challenger and many other super-fast cars. These cars are not only used by the police department but also by ordinary people. Watching those cars run on highways with their awesome colors and patterns is just up lifting.

Furthermore, when someone mentions the word “Gold”, first thing comes to your mind is jewelry, but Dubai has another perspective. A new record-breaking Lamborghini, made out of gold and gems, is sure to turn heads. The finished model contains 25 kilograms of the precious metal. Starting price for the eventual auction is set at $7.5 million, of which $650,000 will go to charity, according to the manufacturer's website. “Where there is a will there a way”; and Dubai’s will is to prosper in all different kind of fields so, it gold plated even different makes of cars, including, Mercedes, Audi and Bentley.

However, gold plated or not, sports cars are the best, or at least that is my opinion. To put it in a nutshell, we should sure learn from Dubai, that all we need is a vision and to take the first step to success, because the thousand miles starts with a step. At last, I would like to ask you all, just once in a while, to take a minute of your time and watch the breathtaking view of these hot wheels as they march down the streets of Dubai, in elegance and awesomeness.
