Job Description
Mission:
•The Production, Maintenance and Storage of Technical Engineering Records including Drawings, Data Sheets and associated Technical Manuals
•Liaison with various Managers in each department ensuring the records are supplied as required
•Communication with his/her Manager and Supervisor so that an affective exchange of information is provided.
•Communication with the external staff so that an affective exchange of information is provided.
•To effectively organize and manage themselves along with the records under their control.
•Assist in research and development and ‘special’ projects
Specific Tasks:
•The compilation and production of Detailed Drawings from Site Surveys, measurements, Asbuilts.
•Maintain and update the organization’s drawing systems
•Conversion of PLT and DXF Format drawings from external providers and be able to convert to PDF or other formats
•The production of Product Data Sheets for all items of furniture
•Provide assistance to Supervisors ,Managers or Directors as needed.
• Create local electronic format data such as drawings for presentations when required
•Create a Drawing Register and maintain the latest issue or revision of these records
•Carry out general administrative duties as necessary.
•Create local assembly and innovate manuals
•Convert line sketches , ideas and proposals to Electronic CAD Format
•Assist in managing manufacturing projects and resolving technical issues
•Assist in R&D of Innovate concepts
•Assist in and undertake R&D projects, as directed
•Undertake ‘special’ projects, as directed
Skills
•Be able to use and operate a generic CAD System (AutoCAD) with a minimum 2D Platform and Preferably have had previous experience of working within an office environment in an administration electronic drafting function,
•Have a sound and proven Mechanical and Civil ability
•Understand measurement and basic Drawing, Engineering Mathematical principles
•Have an understanding of Computer Software applications such as MS Word, Excel
