An exciting opportunity to join the Academic Technology Instructional Spaces Support team at New York University Abu Dhabi.
New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is currently seeking motivated Instructional Spaces Support Assistants to join the Academic Technology Instructional Spaces Support team in the Library.The Instructional Spaces Support Assistants will provide front-line support for Faculty in the use of technology in instructional spaces across campus. Duties include ensuring proper functioning of computing and A/V equipment, lecture capture, video production and videoconferencing support, audio reinforcement and troubleshooting. The position will also provide training and outreach to Faculty for best practices in using technology enabled classrooms. Additionally, the role will work with Information Technology colleagues and service providers to facilitate maintenance and warranty support of equipment. The position will also work closely with other Library Technical Assistant colleagues on a wide range of programs and services provided by the Library Academic Technology team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide front-line support for Faculty in the use of technology in instructional spaces across campusDiagnose problems and formulate solutions to issues faced within instructional spacesCollaborate with other library academic technology colleagues to ensure consistent provision of service to Faculty across all technology related applications, services and initiatives. Provide support for events using academic technology supported services, such as live streaming and lecture capture.
Education requirements
(essential)Bachelorâ??s Degree or higher in a relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
(desirable)Certified Technology Specialist accreditation would be highly desirable.
Experience requirements
(essential)Substantial knowledge of Mac and Windows desktop environment. sExcellent speaking, listening, and writing skills in English. Demonstrated initiative, ability to problem solve and prioritize work tasks. Strong customer service orientation . Ability to conduct orientations and ongoing training programs to Faculty.
