En estos 14 años de andadura al frente de este periódico nunca he escrito nada (a excepción de la apertura en nuestros Anuarios), pero creo que hoy es un buen momento para trasladar, por medio de esta breve nota, el sentimiento de agradecimiento y orgullo que tanto yo como muchas de las personas que vivimos en este gran País tenemos hacia el Gobierno de Emiratos Árabes.
El Gobierno de EAU no sólo es capaz de neutralizar con gran eficacia los misiles y drones que nos amenazan, sino que neutraliza también nuestra intranquilidad y desconocimiento de una situación tan especial como la que estamos viviendo. Es más, Emiratos nos hace sentir seguros y protegidos, lo que confirma nuestro pensamiento de que EAU es uno de los Países más seguros del mundo (si no el más) y reafirma nuestra decisión de vivir en este País, que nos cuida y nos permite desarrollar nuestra vida personal y profesional aún en diferentes situaciones de Crisis como ésta.
Queda de esta forma claro que, una vez más, EAU está gestionando con gran eficacia una coyuntura compleja, y ello nos hace sentir orgullosos de vivir en este gran País y de pertenecer a su Comunidad de Ciudadanos.
No sabemos cuánto durará esta situación extraordinaria en la que vivimos actualmente, pero sí sabemos que estaremos debidamente informados y que el Gobierno de EAU hará todo lo posible para que, con las precauciones y las pautas correspondientes, podamos seguir manteniendo una vida normal con nuestra familia, con nuestros amigos y en nuestros trabajos, porque eso hace que este País no pare y continúe siendo un País líder de los mejores Países del mundo para vivir, para conocer y para visitar.
Este sentimiento y orgullo son míos, de mi familia, de mis amigos y puedo decir que el de la mayoría de personas de diferentes nacionalidades que vivimos aquí y que seguiremos viviendo aquí.

"The UAE is managing a complex situation with great efficiency, and this makes us proud to live in this great country and to belong to its Community of Citizens"
In these 14 years of running at the helm of this newspaper I have never written anything (except for the opening in our Yearbooks), but I think that today is a good time to convey, through this brief note, the feeling of gratitude and pride that both I and many of the people who live in this great country have towards the Government of the United Arab Emirates.
The UAE government is not only capable of neutralising the missiles and drones that threaten us with great efficiency, but it also neutralizes our worry and fears in the face of such a new and special situation as the one we are experiencing. What's more, the UAE makes us feel safe and secure, which confirms our belief that the UAE is one of the safest countries in the world (if not the safest) and reaffirms our decision to live in this country, which takes care of us and allows us to develop our personal and professional lives even in different crisis situations such as this one.
It is thus clear that, once again, the UAE is managing a complex situation with great efficiency, and this makes us proud to live in this great country and to belong to its Community of Citizens.
We do not know how long this extraordinary situation in which we are currently living will last, but we do know that we will be duly informed and that the UAE Government will do everything possible so that, with the corresponding precautions and guidelines, we can continue to maintain a normal life with our family, with our friends and in our jobs, because that means that this country does not stop and continues to be a leading country of the best countries in the world to live, to know and to visit.
This feeling and pride are mine, my family's, my friends' and I can say that most of the people of different nationalities who live here and who will continue to live here.
